シークレットサンタの悲劇 (Secret Santa Tragedy)

今日は数日前の悲劇について書きます。

Today, I will be writing about a tragedy that occurred a couple of days ago.

クリスマスの日に事務所でシークレットサンタというのエベントは行いました。このエベントのために皆は個人的なプレゼントを用意して事務所で集まりました。

On Christmas day, an event called ‘The Secret Santa’ was held at the office. For the purpose of this event, everyone prepared their own individual gift and gathered at the office.

最初は皆に美味しいデザートボックスを配られました。中には色々なデザートが入られました。そしてクリスマスの音楽を聞きながら皆と一緒に食べました。フルーツタルトは少し甘すぎると思いましたがほんとうに美味しかったです！

At first, a box of desserts which contained various desserts was distributed to everyone. Then, I enjoyed the desserts together with everyone while listening to the festive Christmas music.

その後、色々なゲームをやりました。やったゲームの中でCharadesというのゲームでした。このゲームの遊び方は簡単です！まずプレーヤーとして誰かを選択します。そのプレーヤーは皆がよく知っているフレーズを決めます。そして決めたフレーズを皆に何も言えずに身振りだけで皆を推測させます。このゲームは皆と一緒にやるのは本当にに楽しいです！

After that, I took part in various games with one of the games being Charades. The game is very easy to play! First, designate someone as a player. That player will then choose a phrase that everyone is familiar with. After that, that player will need to act out the phrase in front of everyone else and make them guess what the chosen phrase is. Playing this game with everyone is an absolute blast!

最後は皆と無作為にプレゼントを交換しました。もらえたものは素敵なマグカップとスプーンセットでした。しかしくプレゼントを開けた時、興奮すぎてスプーンを落としてすぐに壊れてしまいました！本当に悲しかったが幸いマグカップが無事でした。

At the end, everyone exchanged their gifts randomly with each other. I received a wonderful mug and spoon set for my gift. However, when I was opening the gift, I got a bit too excited and accidentally dropped the spoon which broke immediately. I was really sad but fortunately the mug itself was safe.

ちなみに、これぐらいならもちろん悲劇と言えませんがこの事件を大げさにしたら、語ることはもっと面白くなるのですねｗ

By the way, I am well aware that an incident of this scale is not meant to be called a ‘tragedy’ but exaggerating it in such a manner makes it more exciting to talk about haha!
